Message from Keith Ronald, Chairman of Harefield United

I have appealed against the Spartan South Midlands Management Committee to have the decisions to replay the Edgware Town/Harefield United games replayed. Despite the obvious jibes from the more blinkered members of certain clubs my reasoning is very simple, football.  Once the appeal process has been exhausted I will publish my report so you can judge why I have done this. However, suffice to say the game is already being marred by requests for replays and now each game is being looked at not as a result but how to appeal, and this will get worse. Games are decided on the football field not the Committee room. I was always taught that the referee's decision was final! Some hopes now!

Strange how all the other clubs never dreamt of asking for the game to be replayed, they had until now accepted the result!

Football has been dealt a server blow by all those involved in this episode, including the FA and FIFA. All I have asked is common sense prevails.

I will advise on the decisions of the FA.
